The certificate of life is requested by persons who have claimed their rights to a retirement pension and who, given that they are outside the country, must prove to the Treasury of Benin that they still enjoy their pension rights.

To do this, the applicant must provide:

• A letter of request addressed to the Ambassador;

• Copy of the first two pages of the Beninese passport;

• Copy of consular card;

• Copy of the first three pages of the pension book or widowhood book;

• Appear in person at the Embassy in Doha

Certificate of life and support. This is requested by one of the two parents to prove to the State that their children are still dependent and alive.

File to be provided

• A request addressed to the Ambassador;

• Copy of the first two pages of each child’s Beninese passport;

• Certificate of school attendance, if applicable;

• A ten dollar money order payable to: Embassy of Benin, Doha;
