President Patrice TALON at the National Museum of Qatar

As part of his working visit to Qatar, the President of the Republic, Mr. Patrice Talon, visited the National Museum of Qatar in Doha on Monday, May 19, 2025. This visit is part of a dynamic cultural and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.

Welcomed by Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa, President of the Museum, the Head of State was able to discover the remarkable architecture of the building, as well as the exhibitions retracing the history, culture, and economic development of Qatar.

The visit was marked by an enriching one-on-one discussion on opportunities for cultural collaboration between Benin and Qatar, particularly in the areas of heritage preservation, the promotion of contemporary African art, and museum cooperation.

The visit ended with the signing of the Golden Book, thus demonstrating Benin's interest in innovative models of heritage promotion, and illustrating President TALON's desire to strengthen ties between peoples through culture and intercultural dialogue.
